zero earnings

As I  type this it is only a few hours before cut-off time with Google and  when I visited my adsense account, oh boy, it's still zero earnings!  There are visitors but they just don't click anything.  Slow, slow.

google seems to be very slow today

This is the first time that I notice Google adsense loading up very slowly.  Could it be my internet server?  But I do not have any problem with other sites.

This morning when I logged in to my adsense account it took me a long time to do so.  Uploading one page to the next was like a long, long wait.

Is the site maybe upgrading its system?  Just wondering.

seemingly near, but actually so far

Google total earnings as of today reached a little over $84.  From the looks of it, it seems near payout but with the slowness of the daily earnings, I really doubt it if we could make it next payout.  Imagine yesterday we got the lowest earning ever. I am considering putting up of other income-generating sites on all my blogs.  Google ad these days is just too slow.

bring in the moolah

Let us look forward to the new year and see what some people do in order to get a good start this 2008.  According to experts, 2008 is going to be a good year since the figure is a very positive and fruitful.  Notice the two circles on top and bottom which means that there will be continuous prosperity for everyone, hopefully.

Various people have different ways of welcoming the New Year.  In the Philippines for instance, people here believe that the wearing of dotted dress means that you want money to come in the whole year round.  People also collect 12 different types of round fruits to also mean the same thing.  You see, the circle or round figure here stands for money.  Then when it comes to food, people avoid having chicken because according to this belief, a chicken symbolizes a hard life.  It is best to have prawns or shrimps because these prawns move with a purpose and will do everything to reach their goals.

do you give cash to carollers?

In our country, carollers expect to be handed money after their singing.  Young and old carollers all expect the same thing.  I wonder what the practice is in other parts of the world, but I am talking about carolling in the Philippines where a group could really collect huge amounts during the X'mas season.

I have started a trend in my own area.  I bought some goodies like candies and cookies which I give out to carollers of all ages.  I remember during my childhood that we were given X'mas goodies when we went carolling from house to house.  Things seem to have changed now but I am trying to bring back that practice.

how does one get visitors to click the ads?

One does not encourage or suggest to people to click your ads because that is against Google rules.  The weight of the violation is the same as when you click your own ads.  That's dishonesty and Google adsense will ban you for that or terminate your account.  The question therefore remains.  How does one get visitors to click the ads?

Well, the only thing that site owners can do is to aggressively promote his site or to get linked to many popular sites in order to have more visitors who might be interested enough to click the ads that Google crawls.  You just have to wait and pray that this happens.  Cheating is never encouraged here.

Also, constant updates will most likely improve traffic to your site.  When there's more traffic, the possibility of getting clicks increases.

do more ads bring in more earnings?

There's been a debate around the house regarding the number of Google ads one displays on one's site or blog.  One side of the house says that the more ads you display, the less income you will most likely get because the clicks you get on your ads get to be divided by their number.  The other side believes that by having more ads, you get more chances of getting clicks.  If you only display a few chances of being clicked are thin.  We have tried the first theory and I think we're not getting good results.

Maybe time to change strategies?

ads you wanna view

Hey, I noticed something cool about Google ads recently because there are times it sends you an ad to just type what sort of ad you wanna view.  Isn't that cool?

stingy when it comes to moolah

People who are born under the Year of the Rat are said to be a bit stingy with money.  That is what the Chinese calendar says.  Although rats have a lot of good traits, they are usually known for their negative characteristics.

2008 is Year of the Brown Rat.  In Western culture, rats had always been associated with being calculating, non-trusting, and sly.  Rats are looked upon as lowly creatures that thrive on the crumbs of others.

The Chinese however have a special reverence for rats because of their being quick-witted, resourceful, intelligent, and charming.  However, the stingy aspect of rats is also viewed as one of their bad traits.

heard about Opera?

I just found out about this  browser called Opera and boy, am I lucky.  I can now access the sites I haven't seen for a long time like Clixsense.  With Opera, I can access any site and it functions more efficiently than firefox.  I just love this discovery!

Network error? Weird...

For over a week now I haven't logged in to my http://www.clixsense.com/?2144411 account because it does not load up. I don't think it has anything to do with my internet because all other sites are okay.

For reasons which I am clueless, it almost always gives me the "Network error" message which I find weird. I could log in to all other sites except Clixsense. I'm close to payout so I am just wondering if it has anything to do with it.

Until now I am still clueless. Is the site trying to upgrade its system in our part of the world? I know that members from other parts of the world are not having this kind of trouble. I am really wondering about this.

7 months old

This blog is 7 months old but still traffic is scarce. It's one problem bloggers have to face. Blogs really don't seem to get that much traffic compared to websites that have real stuff like graphics, games, music, glitters etc. to offer. Blogs only make use of words which are not exactly enticing to some people especially if there is really nothing that is being said there. LOL.

we need visitors

I got 35 as the highest number of visitors I got for my site. But like the prices of commodities traffic here also fluctuates. I'd been having this blog for months now but traffic has remained a problem. If only we could make at least a hundred people come and visit our sites everyday, then that would be satisfying. But I guess we just have to wait some more and be patient until we strike the right key and be counted among those who are already having a deluge of traffic. Sounds impossible, right? But it would not really hurt you if you leave a comment or two each time you make a visit. It would be better if you also leave your url so you also get a return visit.

national ads

There's only one way to get some decent income for our TV show "at random" and it is by going national. Hopefully, when I have secured dvds of our past episodes we can make this happen.

Advertising is the lifeblood of any TV program and in the same way it also benefits advertisers as the program also gives visibility and increases product recall on the part of the target market. But in small cities like ours, some industries do not yet see the benefits of advertising. Some still believe it's only cashing out, period. They do not see the entire picture, the mutual gains that both the advertiser and TV show will get.

In the long run the more consumers see your product, the more likely that your brand or store gets remembered when they purchase such a product.

trying

Hey, I notice that the more frequent I blog, the better gets my traffic. It's not really one worth celebrating a drink yet, but it's certainly moving up. I mean my traffic and of course, I get a few clicks too. So it is indeed true what they they say that constant updates do bring positive results. Not really that huge, but at least, the numbers are getting better.

So how to gain traffic? One of them is constant updates. It could be a steep climb, but I guess it's worth trying.

How do you like the photo to go with this blog?

just an observation

I noticed recently that most ads from Google are no longer content-based. Like for instance I have around 4 blogs with different niches. For instance, my http://www.everydaywear.blogspot.com is all about public speaking, the English language, and teaching in general. My blog http://www.coolkidsparty.blogspot.com deals with happy occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I also have another blog http://www.speak4money.blogspot.com which contains all there is to talk about money. Still another one contains all my rants as a human being.

However, most times the ads that get crawled here are no longer relevant to the content of the blog. I am really wondering about this.

Payperpost pays high

It's the current buzz in forums. Payperpost appears to be one of the highest paying sites in cyberworld. You can sign up for membership free plus a $20 sign up bonus if your initial post gets their nod.

You may want also want to use it to advertise your product or service by having it reviewed by its corp of seasoned bloggers. This is just one cool way to promote your business with very minimal cost.

Bloggers can actually turn words into money by simply writing about the products or services of its advertisers. I mean, we blog everyday, we use words everyday for nothing. Getting paid to do something you love to do is just like the best opportunity for you.

Right now I am working on my first $20 from Payperpost. See? It is not really an effort to be talking about something that everybody wants.

We want some real good income, then this one is for us. You can actually bank on Payperpost. A friend of mine recently earned as much as $500 this month doing what she loves to do and that is blogging.

I do not why I did not start earlier. I would have been enjoying the benefits of being an active member of this cool site. Anyway, I am casting my first post and I want you guys to do the same. What are you waiting for? It's just a click away. Blog and get paid.

No Clix Found

The whole day yesterday the internet was going crazy so we in the house weren't able to do any tasks at all. It's zero, as in zero, in everything. Today, however, is a good day because the internet is back and so I eagerly logged on to Clixsense and Mylot. I had difficulty at first getting into Clixsense, but Mylot was easily accessible. After a number of tries, I was finally able to log on to my Clixsense account and found nothing but this notice "No Clix Found" each time I went to browse for ads. And I am talking about the whole time. Hmmmmm.....

Clixsense problem

I am actually nearing payout at http://www.clixsense.com/?2144411 but I wonder why for two or three days now I could not possibly log on to the site. I can access other sites but clixsense just refuses to load. I did not have such a problem in the past but just when I am about to complete my minimum payout the site says "connection is timed out" or something like that. It's weird. I asked other members about this but they say that they are not having any problems in their area, so it is just me.

Anyone of you who have an answer?

rent vs.paying for your own

Renting a house can be very costly in the long run as owners can always increase the rent anytime a house is vacated. A house developer may be able to solve the problem of high rent if you take advantage of its offer. Getting a loan to have a house of your own will prove to be more profitable to you in the final analysis. You practically pay the same fixed amount for the rest of the paying period which is not bad.

updating one's blog

When one has a lot of time in his hands daily updates on one's blog is not a problem. But when one is short of time and has got myriads of other tasks to do offline, updating comes not so often anymore.

I used to do daily updates here but lately offline tasks have taken up a lot of my time and I'd be lucky to do weekly updates. However today I vow to come as often as I can, just type some few things to say like what I'm doing now.

I think I need to put in more effort to be able to do this. We'll see about this.

finding one's passion

I only realized now that teaching isn't really my passion. Now after 26 years of teaching I have finally made the discovery which should have happened 20 years ago, that what I'd been doing for the past many years was a mistake. I should have started my new venture a long time ago, but probably everything has a reason. Perhaps the waiting had to happen now when I already have two grown children to back me up in my new television career.

Yup, it's never too late for anyone to pursue a passion. It's what I am doing now and I enjoy every minute of it.

Clixsense woes

What's with Clixsense? I noticed a slowdown lately in the number of sites they send as I near the payout period. Or, am I just imagining things? Trust me, sites to click now come in trickles. I know they want everyone to upgrade but I am not doing it. Although I am a non-premium member but I am always here for the clicks.

why are banks aggressively pushing these credit cards?

Are credit cards a bane or boon? It depends on which side you are. If you're one who is a delinquent user of these cards, then it could be your daily nightmare.

Are credit card companies making good in this business when there seems to be a lot of disgruntled customers and bad debts? Must be, if not, then why are banks freely giving away credit cards to its clients who are in good standing?

My sister received not just one but a multiple of credit cards from various banks. She was surprised because she did not apply for them. Another friend also was handed a pre-approved credit card which she did not ask for. Does this mean that business is doing well with these credit card companies? Hmmm.....makes me not wanna think about it.

is Paypal really working here?

There had been a lot of buzz and hype lately about Paypal now in operation in the Philippines. It means that members in the Philippines can now receive payments via Paypal. I checked it though, went to one of the local banks who gave me that "What are you saying?" look when I mentioned Paypal. The people at that bank never even heard of the term! What is this? Is this the day of the dark ages? Are we yet in caves?

So I just told the bank personnel to just forget it and left the bank feeling so stupid for asking such a silly question.

So what are we saying here? Is Paypal really working in the Philippines? How and which part of the Philippines, which bank, etc? This is really downright crazy.

Western Union Money Transfer

One great option that Google has recently offered to its publishers is the Western Union Money Transfer option. This means publishers do not need to wait days or weeks for the arrival of the checks. In a matter of seconds your money will be in your hands. Very cool, right? This is a very good sign that Google is indeed doing its best to improve its service and to help its publishers.

Google deserves our kudos....

advertising: lifeblood of business

It is of mutual interest that advertisers as well as businesses merit from each other's existence. Developing as well as maintaining goodwill with the public through visibility is important for any business to have longer staying power. That is why even big companies which seem not to need advertising, still spend millions on advertising their products or services.

Advertising supports media----radio, newspapers & magazines, television, the internet. In return, media try hard to please advertisers. Otherwise, if it stops supporting a program this could lead to the death of your business.

low, low advertising rates

We offer the lowest advertising rate for visibility on TV. It is a local show but with a wide market because it covers the whole province of Negros Oriental. So for visibility, you can get that for low, low cost.

Developing or maintaining visibility to our product, service, site or blog in important. One of the best ways would be to take advantage of advertising.

A 30-seconds ad would only cost one time Php 4,000, then Php 3,ooo per month thereafter. A 15-seconder cost half, minus production fee, and for text ads, only Php 500.00 per month.

Just leave me a comment here and I will give you more details.

GPhone?

What is this buzz about Google coming up with its own phone? A GPhone? I think there is no stopping Google from conquering the world. It was reported lately that the advertising giant had increased by 600% its profits since it started. Wow! Is this for real? If so, then the company is literally spitting money every second of the day! That is just so amazing!

looking for advertisers....

We're looking for advertisers in our television talk and variety show aired once a week, Sundays at 8-9:00 in the evening at a local channel.

Rates are very reasonable as we are just launching the show. If you are interested, we can help you push your products or service or anything by getting in touch with me here, maybe leave your comment for the possibility of doing business together. Of course, this is legit and real as you can see on photo, we're just getting started, so take advantage of the huge discount!

The show is dubbed at random and I am one of the hosts there. Part of the segment is called "Marketplace" and this is where people get to sell their products and services.

Paypal now working in the Philippines?

The latest buzz today is the fact that you now can receive payments through Paypal in the Philippines. But to be able to do this one needs a credit card and also needs to be verified.

I am just wondering why the need for so many steps or requirements. With Moneybookers, one needs to be verified and a bank account.

With this latest Paypal development, we hope business will speed up in the country.

too good to be true

According to those who'd been earning money from the internet for ages, when a company offers very high payout to its members, the least likely that the site will pay. So, you have to be careful. Stay away from those animals that will make slaves out of you. Go for legit sites like http://www.clixsense.com/?ref=funny52f or Mylot. You can never go wrong with these sites. They pay little, but they do pay and that's all that matters.

Sunday, September 30, 2007

there's money in the zoo...

After surfing for quite a time now, I have more or less encountered sites that look legit and those that look questionable. Lately, I have come across a deluge of click sites and pay-to-read-e-mail sites that offer huge bonuses and big pay-outs per click. However, I notice a great similarity in all these sites. For one, they are all named after animals like duck, horse, cat, elephant, puma, elephant, donkey, lion, pig, camel, etc. Their page lay-outs are the same, terms , FAQs and conditions are the same, and their manner of presentation as a whole are echoes of each other. It makes users ask several questions therefore as to the legitimacy of these sites.

However, if everything they say there is true, then they will all make their users millionaires in less than a month. I have, for instance, generated $2,600 in less than two days in one site alone. I mean, am I to believe this? We will just have to wait and see. I have e-mailed the admin of this site inquiring about this and I will have to give you an update as to their response to my query. That will be happening on my next blog entry here.

Clixsense is good

Hwy, guys! As you all know I am currently an active member of http://www.clixsense.com/?2144411 with 20 referrals (1 upgraded) and, without an upgrade I've been sent around 10 to 15 sites everyday. This is really good considering that I actually do no less than click to these sites and get paid for it.

If you aren't a member of this site yet, I advise you to do it. Just click to the link above and you are ready to be signed up. International users are all welcome as Clixsense pays only by check. Be good and sign up now.

some jealous pigs!!!

After 5,231 discussions and with remaining $4.23 and $18.34 still uncollected from Moneybookers all of a sudden I could no longer gain access to my account at Mylot, a paying forum. I know I had been sharing links and lately in fact I had expressed my happiness over the fact that one of those who recently signed up with me at http://www.clixsense.com/?2144411 had upgraded his membership and, as a result, I was paid an extra $5. for that.

Obviously some jealous pigs made a report which resulted to my inability to gain access to my account. It doesn't take a genius to know that. But I'm coming back.

beware of scam sites!

Scam sites are everywhere. Some look legit and innocent and may succeed in luring you into the trap. The promises are nice to hear, so you put in all your efforts and energy, you neglect your other online tasks in fact, because you have a number or quota to reach. You spend many hours working.

Alas, when payday comes, pffffft! Like smoke they vanish into thin air. No, they are not only found in PTCs or PTRs but also in paid writers sites. Beware, beware! I got a clue to one scam site and if you do not want to be a victim to this, leave a comment, and I will give you the details. It pays to know who the scammers are. Ho,ho,ho....I got a lot of names up my sleeves. Ask for them now and I will grant thee.

only 1 click?

Am I being punished for having more referrals? That is supposed to be funny but that is what I am thinking now. I find it strange that the whole day I only received one site to click from http://www.clixsense.com/?2144411 Is it because I've had three referrals that came in yesterday, making it a total of 11 my number of referrals.

I really do not know what is happening here but I think they do not give you sites to click if you get many referrals because you are also given $0.10 per referral. But that is different, right?

Referrals, networking

If you have signed up for a number of moneymaking sites, I am sure that you are aware of the importance of having referrals to augment your earnings. Some sites offer very good referral schemes like you can even get some commissions from the referrals of your own referrals, and so on and so forth.

The problem is, how do we get some referrals? All of my referrals at http://www.mylot.com/?ref=funny52f are from my offline sources. I got 43 referrals there but out of this number, only about 2 are active. I am a lot happier with http://www.clixsense.com/?2144411 because my referrals just keeps on growing even without me having to work very hard for them. I just give my referral link in one forum and my network has grown to 11 without me doing anything. These 11 referrals have helped me move my earnings up. I know that some people buy their referrals but that is going to be costly on your part. Some make use of the e-mail or private message in Mylot to ask their friends to be part of their network. Whatever method you find best, just keep it up because networking is one way of growing your business.

online moneymakers

It is just amazing how these multitude of sites promising incomes to those who sign up with them have dominated the internet scene nowadays. People are desperate for money and these sites take advantage of this fact. But do they deliver as promised? So far, I'd been scammed twice already. The first one was by a blog host which promised to pay members but when payout time came the site simply remained mum. I have lost much precious time and effort in that site. The second time came from my mailbox, an e-mail telling me that I'd won something. I knew that it was a hoax but I just wanted to get real proof of it myself and so I got scammed of my $8.95 off my Mylot earnings. There. I learned my lesson.

Today, I am only actively involved in the following legit sites Mylot, Clixsense, and Helium.

Western Union Money Transfer

It's supposed to the be easiest and fastest way of transferring funds from one country to another. Basically all you need here in order to receive cash transferred to you is an ID and the control no. as well as the name and address of the sender.

However if it is your first time to receive funds via Western Union, they will give you additional requirements like two IDs and you will be asked to fill out a form which is not a breeze.

Personally though it is the coolest way of getting paid. Money will be in your hands in a matter of minutes.

Price list for Foreigners visiting the Philippines

Tourists coming to the Philippines should be aware of the prices of goods and services to be able to go around without being gypped by unscrupulous natives. First of all, have in mind that the dollar equivalent to the Philippine money which is the peso is around Php 45 to 46 depending on the day's Forex rate. So with that, $1 can already buy you a good meal in popular fast foods such as Jollibee, Mcdonald's, or Chowking. A dollar would give you 8 rides to 8 destinations within a small city, but when you go to bigger cities like Manila or Cebu, fare rates would be a bit higher. For lodging, you can get a room for as low as Php 300/day to as high as Php 1,200 to Php 1,500 for airconditioned rooms with single beds. A bottle of soda in small sari-sari stores costs only Php 8.00 but you pay higher if you have one in a sit-in resto. Sandwiches, the large ones, cost somewhere between Php 25 to Php 28, the small ones are at Php 15.00

While enjoying the different places, hopping from one beauty spot to another, remember to carry only enough cash in pesos. In our city which is Dumaguete City, the best money exchanger here with the highest exchange rate is still Optimum Traders, situated near a chicken house called Golden Roy's. So if you come around and you're looking for a money changer, ask the pedicab driver to take you to Optimum Traders. Now if he seems reluctant or like he does not know where the place is, then say Golden Roy's and pronto, he will deliver you there without questions asked. Optimum Traders is situated right next to Golden Roy's. If you know how to read signs, then you won't get lost.

Notice of Disconnection

Don't you just hate it when you receive the latest billing and find with it a notice of disconnection? That's every single time you receive the billing, a notice of disconnection is always attached even if you had been paying your bill every month. Their rationale is that it's a billing and at the same time a notice just in case. Isn't this ridiculous?

I have noticed this in almost all the billings----internet, cable, electrical power, and water bills. How can these companies be so antagonistic to their customers? Why use THREAT in your statements? Is that the way to deal with the lifeblood of your business?

Give me a break. We consumers deserve better. We're paying too high for these services to be treated like crap. Can we have more competitors please?

best place to advertise

Advertising has never been so alive since the onslaught of online advertising which is more interactive and targeted. However, advertising through other forms of media is still around. In fact, it is the lifeblood of radio, TV, and print media. This blog hopes to weigh the pros and cons of advertising on television, radio, or print against online advert.
With radio and television you pay per spot, length, and time whether or not the right market got to see the ads or not. It comes out more expensive because you pay a certain monthly rate based on the no. of spots per day, length of the ad, and the time spot chosen. With online marketing, advertisers pay only per viewing of an interested market. And advertisers pay only as low as $0.01 per view or click. With this kind of advertising technique, advertisers are actually paying their prospective market to know their products and services. A symbiotic relationship is thus forged between advertisers and their market which is like getting shares or commissions on products you use. That is why companies that want to reach their real market use the different online advertising agencies like Google and Bidvertiser for better results.

Will there come a time when TV, radio and print advertising can no longer battle the impact of online marketing?

I already see it coming. What's your mind here? Share.

made in China products under close scrutiny

Especially in the Philippines, imported goods from China have mushroomed at an alarming rate until recent news of their safety have put an end to this. Who wouldn't buy them? They're very cheap and are everywhere. Recently however, products from this country have undergone the scrutiny of authorities who found food products like candies , cookies, pet food, toothpaste, toys, household appliances, and garments to be of substandard quality and could be dangerous.

In the US for example a certain brand of pet food had been pulled out and banned from being sold because of its harmful and even fatal effects on the pets. A certain brand of toothpaste, a counterfeit of Colgate, was found to contain cancer-causing ingredients. The Department of Health also found candies and biscuits made in China to contain harmful ingredients.

Appliances like blender, toaster, and the like which are made in China were tested and found to be of poor quality and could easily spark a fire.

China as we know today has been economically moving up because of its ingenuity in producing products which had permeated the global market. But with the latest suspicions and questions about the safety and quality of their products we know that this will surely change the entire picture.

what's with Globelines?

Our telephone and internet connections are serviced by Globelines. However, I cannot understand their policy of not entertaining inbound calls.

Many times I became frustrated and exasperated when I tried to dial the 3-digit numbers the local office has provided for us to supposedly "contact" in case we have problems with our phone or internet.

You know what happens when you dial those numbers? You are redirected many times to robots or recorded answers which prompt you to press one number after the other. And when you come to the end of it and you're supposed to already have a PERSON there to answer you, you will be told to wait for their customer service. You wait and you're fed with cemeterial music all throughout. The waiting and the music do not end because no customer rep will pick up the phone to finally entertain you.

Don't tell me otherwise because I've been into this several times I do not know what to do anymore when I have problems with my internet connection.

I just can't understand why a telephone company has no telephone number that its customer can access when there are troubles? I do not know why a telephone company such as Globelines can't hire real people to pick up the phone? It is unbelievable that a telephone company does not welcome inbound calls from customers. I don't know what you say but the way things are simply means POOR SERVICE.

comment awaiting moderation?

This is one of the observations I have made in all the blog hoppings I have done during the past several months that some blog owners are not quite open when it comes to publishing comments from their readers. After a reader encodes and submits his comments, a notification appears that the comment will be published after the owner's approval. Why? What could be the reason or reasons why some bloggers want to screen readers' comments? Are they afraid to publish negative comments from others? Do they want their blogs to be free from hate words and the like? I wonder.

One popular blogger in our country has more than 200 comments to a post and 90% of these comments are full of hate and anger. Yet, these people who write their hatred for him for his discriminating opinions go back to his blog everyday. These foul comments from readers are the ones that make others come to read what others have said today and the other day, etc.

In media, publicity (good or bad) is still publicity. Clearing your blogs of these comments remove what could have been source of good traffic for you.

If I were you, let freedom of expression reign and welcome everyone with all their baggage. Why? When you have visitors at home, do you let some of them enter while others wait so you could frisk them before entering? Come on, be bold enough to hear what everyone wants to say.

Like when you leave your comments here with your links or url, I won't mind. You can say anything here. This is a free country.

It's now Mozilla Firefox for everyone in the house

Now that I have discovered the ease and the efficiency of Mozilla Firefox, I am now using it for days now as my browser. My kids had been using MF for a long time now and they'd be encouraging me to follow suit but I'd been hard-headed in the past. After I learned and tried it, I found performing tasks simultaneously quite easy. So it's definitely in MF, out IE!

IE or MF?

We used to have no problem with Internet Explorer. In fact we've been using that for years. However lately, something is really not right with it anymore. We could not longer gain access to many sites. We started to shift to Mozilla Firefox and lo and behold, it seems to be working a lot, lot better.

I wonder what you people are using now but right now Mozilla Firefox rules in the house. A friend told us that he got plenty of viruses from using Internet Explorer and we also thought that it's what is happening with our pc. It simply won't work with IE but is okay with MF.

If you got any thoughts on this, leave your comment here please.

work faster at Mylot

Hi, ya! If you have been doing this small technique, good, then this is not for you, thank you for coming. I hope you drop a comment with your url so I would know you came.

I have recently, just recently, found a technique to hasten our work at Mylot. I've been doing this a couple of days ago when something went wrong with Mylot system and it failed to publish many of the discussions I submitted. I tried this method and it worked, my discussions got submitted and faster this time----not a lot of waiting but you need to see to it that you type your discussion carefully.

This is what I am doing now and which has made work faster here on Mylot. After typing my response to a discussion, I directly hit the Post discussion button and I get directed to tag then that's it. I do the same thing when I make comments, I skip the Preview part and hit Post Comment, then move on. This technique has saved me loads of time and more points next to my avatar. Try it.

Nokia does not deny potential danger of cellphone batteries

I just got this from the news tonight that a woman's cellphone exploded and burned itself, her bed and pillow. When interviewed the woman said that she was only charging her cellphone when she heard the explosion. She rushed to her room to find her cellphone burning on top of her bed.

It was found out later that the explosion was caused by the cellphone battery which, they discovered, could get overheated and cause such a dangerous effect.

Nokia officials were contacted and did not deny the potential danger of some cellphone batteries. However, they explained that they had always made sure that safety measures are followed in the manufacture of cellphone units. The officials are now looking into the real cause of the accident.

why?

Blogger.com has been down at least from where we're at for about a month now and it has greatly affected the performance of our blogs which are still on their take-off stage. What a disappointment. Just as I was trying very hard to develop visibility and thus improve traffic on these sites Offbeatmom, Cool Kids' Party, Everydaywear, and clix4pay the whole thing crashes and brings down with them whatever we have tried very hard to build.

It is not easy to get in touch with blogger.com because it does not have any address or any place for us to air our concern. I have surfed everywhere but it seems like it only has discussion groups where people with problems come and get some opinions from others who have also their own concerns with blogger.com. There is no admin or anyone from blogger to help us out. I am just hoping that this blog will reach them and could they please do something to fix it. The problems we have encountered are as follows:

1. Diffficulty publishing or updating our posts. They do get submitted but when we view the blog it's still the same old blog that is displayed. The latest posts do not get published.

2. There are times that the problem is solved but only for a very brief period because after a few hours, the whole thing goes back to its old ways and that is, not being able to update the latest posts.

What is wrong here? I know that others are not facing the same problems but why us? We are not trying to create spams or anything to mislead people. We're here for the same reasons most of these bloggers are here.

We have suffered tremedously from the erratic behavior of our blog host we hope blogger admin or maybe the people of Google should take a look at this problem.

Globe vs. Smart

I will be talking about the comparison not as a user but as a load dealer. I've been into this small e-load retail business for a couple of years, and so far, I can make some comparisons between Globe and Smart on the basis of income and benefits to dealers or retailers like me.

Why is Globe the more preferred? Because retailers get a higher profit compared to its competitor. Aside from the Php 300 free personal load it is sending monthly to its agents who reach a certain sales mark, retailers also no longer have to load their retailer phones with personal load, so that loading to your customers is absolutely free and the 13% commissions all go to you.

Smart still follows the traditional way and which is more expensive, and less profit for its agents. Retailers need to load up their loader phones with personal load to be able to sell. You can resell it though through Pasaload but then again, this will in the end give more headache to the retailers as monitoring of this type of transactions is going to be very difficult. In the end, losses will be incurred.

As to sales, Globe sells a lot more than Smart. I do not know why users prefer it to the other, but based on daily sales, people are buying more of Globe than the latter.

$8.95 lost to a scam...

I never seem to learn. I make a blah-blah-blah about scams and scamming but I allowed myself to be a victim recently. That was actually the third time that I received such an e-mail supposedly from Yahoo informing me that I won this and that much. This time I took the risk and followed the directions for me to "claim the prize". In the process of completing the requirements there was this portion which asked for something like membership fee of $8.95 to be paid via Paypal or e-gold. Since I have not touched my last Mylot payout, my stupid mind made me do the transfer of the amount to a certain Yahoo account. A note from e-gold informed me that I was able to complete the transaction successfully.

Successfully for them but loss for me. I really half-expected this lousy part. What was I thinking?

Old dogs never seem to learn.

downtimes for Helium and blogger.com

I now see a pattern in the two sites I hang out most times. Helium experiences down times in the evening (our time here) while blogger.com crashes in the morning (our time). This had been going on for three nights with Helium and about two weeks with blogger.

Well, that's supposed to be good news for these two sites because it only means they are having more users and that they need to upgrade their systems to accommodate their growing number of members.

If this continues however, especially with blogger.com which hosts all my blogs, this can be very bad as the inability to publish and the errors that come out will mislead the visitors and readers and thus drive them away.

Efforts to increase traffic will be useless as the whole thing becomes erratic. Like now for instance is a good time because the system is working and publication is possible. However this is going to reverse tomorrow morning. Yes, this has happened for weeks now that updates done tonight get published tonight but in the morrow, it's gone or no longer there on the page. It comes back in the evening and disappears again the following day. I mean, isn't this really exasperating?

We hope of course that there will finally be a real fix to this problem. As it is, it dampens the spirit.

back with Helium

Links can do wonders. Guess what? I'm back with Helium, able to view, write, rate and participate in almost everything there because of a link.

I was worried to death during the past couple of days because I could not get into Helium and I was worried about my account there and the stuff I had written---what if??? Luckily this morning I googled one of my blogs and there on top of the page was "where knowledge rules", the link to Helium. How foolish of me not to have thought of that earlier. Goes to show I still have a lot to learn in this second life.

Well, to make the story short, I'm back with my Helium and as of this writing got some $1.07 ---have no way of claiming it should I reach minimum, but I will cross the bridge when I get there. At the moment I am more concerned in writing, not the money thing but of course, it would be nice to have some bonus.

Mylot, Clixsense, Helium

The sites above are the only ones I am actively involved in and I am still trying to compare which of these sites will give me the highest benefits...LOL

Of course, it's been proven that Mylot really pays and in fact I had been paid 4 to 5 times but lately I am having trouble claiming payout from it via Moneybookers. I need to solve this problem before the 15th of this month.

Clixsense without any upgrade, got $1.71---Helium, just plain writing without much revising, $1.10. I became a member of Clixsense way ahead of Helium so that explains.

So far, these three sites keep me uber busy----remember I have 6 blogs to update---and I also get a little there from Google.

Hurray! Everything's up!

I feel like celebrating when I found out that everything is up and running-----blogger.com, Helium and of course my favorite Clixsense which never really went down and just got my cents moving up!

Amazing Helium added me a few cents during my absence and now got around $1.07 without me doing anything. I realized that for as long as there are members who will view and click to your articles you can still have some kind of earnings while you sleep. I got around 35 articles there now and I am so happy with their ranks. I write there as Glenda Hill.

Back to blogger.com------pleeasee----I hope this will be forever. I like blogger the way it is now-----don't ever go back to being erratic again. Just be good, okay?

Paypal blues

We in the 3rd world countries will just have to deal with the fact that in many ways, we are discriminated because of certain capabilities that our country still could not bring itself to acquire. For instance, Paypal. When I first heard the term from my daughter who'd been way ahead of us in terms of internet use, I immediately went to a known international bank to ask about it but all the personnel in that bank were like, "What?", with mouth dropping and eyes honestlly saying they're hearing it the first time. Still not losing hope, I went to another bank with international services but I got the same "never heard" look. That was more than a year ago. Now it's still the same thing------no Paypal.

You can just imagine the hundreds of opportunities we are missing because we could not receive payment thru Paypal. Many income-generating sites require a Paypal account. So if you don't have one, it's like being told to get out and get lost.

I really wonder why our country is not into this. Are we so poor that we could not upgrade our services to include Paypal so that users in this part of the world won't feel kicked around a lot in the Second Life? It is so frustrating that this handicap has limited our capabilities to compete globally. It is just so frustrating to be born in this side of the globe.

booooooo....

I saw that my earnings were going up at Helium and why not? I had invested time writing around 20 or more articles and rated others' work as well. I've been doing great there when, all of a sudden, when I logged in to my Helium account this morning I got this notification that the service is no longer available in my country. Huh? After what I have done there? Why didn't I receive this notification after two or three articles? I swear I have written more than 20 articles there as of today and in fact I got some in rank #1, 2,3 and most are in the upper 50% rank. So why this notification?

I know and I understand that the site only pays through Paypal and the fact that my country does not have any Paypal service here should have discouraged me from signing up to this site, but I went ahead, signed up, got my approval, and I have started writing for them.

What happens to my account now? Are they going to delete all my work there? If not, what if someone wants to buy one of those articles? Who receives the sales and will they inform me about it? I have no way of contacting them since access to the site is denied.

This is a clear example of "foul play". I hope this site does something about this because it is ruining its own reputation if it keeps on with its aloofness and exclusivity. It's sites likel this that makes the internet a failure.

Helium

I signed up with another site yesterday and yes, it's a writers' site where publishers and writers meet. You write the articles on topics that you can choose from, see if someone offers to buy them so you make money. But I understand there are other ways of course but I have yet to find out how.

Anyway, since my start of membership yesterday, I have already written around 11 articles, a couple of them ranked #1, 1 ranked no. 2, two ranked no. 3 and the rest occupying above the 50% top articles.

I agree with what one member said that the site is really addicting. I think so because I just do not know why I keep going back to it.

my one and only clicking site

I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this clicking site that is keeping me busy everyday. The rate per click is standard $0.01 but members can always upgrade their accounts and get more per click. Yes, I will be upgrading my account soon as I am still trying to build my earnings there---not much but it is growing every hour. I just love this site. Right now I'm close to a dollar---not much but it is easy money and I hope to grow this, you will see. Don't waste your time. Come, and be a part of it by clicking here.

what I hate about banks

We use banking service for various reasons ranging from saving, making payments, availing of loans, business, or simply safe-keeping of funds, transfer, currency exchange and others. In doing so people always want security and convenience when it comes to money transactions having to do with banks. The truth is, banking is never that convenient for me especially if it is with a bank that has several clients to be served by a few slow-moving personnel who seem to enjoy seeing people looking so impatient and almost exasperated.

I opened an ATM account with one of the most reputable banks in our small city so I could receive payouts from outside of the country. To make this possible I needed to make an initial deposit of something close to $ 75 which is supposedly the maintaining balance required by the bank. Now when your balance falls below the maintaining balance of $75 a penalty of $4.50 will be automatically deducted from your initial deposit. Before you know it, after a few months you will find out that your account has been closed, all the remaining funds going to monthly penalty. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I hate the service especially in big "reputable" banks because that's where everybody goes and waiting to be served among the many waiting clients is not in my blood. My parents never believed in banks. My mother used to keep her "savings" secretly wrapped and tied securely in a piece of cloth which she buries deep down her old chest amongst her "treasures" of old photographs. So when it became necessary for me to use the service of a bank, I became one of the most impatient and disorganized clients. I failed to keep track of the checks I had issued and so I had to suffer overnight charges for lack of funds. The rate I was going in issuing checks often came twice faster than the deposits I was making----this was a nightmare. I had to literally run to meet the cut-off almost on a daily basis. Boy, did I have a hell of a time I cursed the founder of banks.

Then there's the waiting. My God, waiting happens to be my enemy. I just hate to wait. When I'd walk in to make a deposit and see the unhappy faces of those waiting ahead of me, I waste no time and head out. This happened to me several times it seems like I would never be able to do some saving because I did not and still do not want to wait.

Helium.com

I have recently become a member of Helium, an online publication that pays you for the works that you do. Members rate your work which is ranked on the basis of the rating. I do not know how the cents are calculated, but as of today, I saw $0.74 in there. The real money comes in when someone buys your article. The site has a marketplace where you get to see the writing tasks that could get paid nicely if the sponsor likes your work.

sites I regularly visit

Here is a list of sites which I have earmarked as my favorites---meaning, I visit them in the exact order I am listing:

1. Google adsense

2. Clixsense

3. Yahoo mail

4. Mylot

5. Blogger

I regularly visit them for one reason----to make money. You might want to share your own list of favorites too. Feel free to leave them here with your url, please.

what is Yahoo doing to stop this scam?

Almost everyday e-mails are sent to various net users informing them that Yahoo is giving them $500 prize for their monthly draws. The wiser ones would immediately delete the scam mail but there are some who aren't as wise and would actually follow the steps and click to the link provided to claim payment. Alas, the last part tells the user to pay a $9 more or less for registration or whatever convenient excuse they have. A lot of people had e-mailed Yahoo about this and were told that Yahoo has nothing to do with this scam. It's not Yahoo who sent you that mail. But how did the scammer get hold of your e-mail? Sounds stinky but one thing we need to always remember, net junkies, DELETE when it looks suspicious.

Oooooops...

Found myself signing up to Bux.to which I got directed by clixsense when, towards the end, it said "Only for countries having Paypal"---ooooops---third world countries, you're out! Instead of being flabbergasted for wasting my time and effort, I ended up smiling. These guys are not thinking like the giant Google. Think big, man! Conquer the world! The world of course includes third world countries. Don't you know that there are rich people even in third world countries? Heh---I'm not one of them, but I am a product user---in fact, I use lots and lots of products and avail of services too---so---we hope there will be more justice around here.

sister site

Hey! I have come up with yet another money-money blog to house all the new clicking sites I have recently joined. As you might see in this new blog I only have around two or three other sites supposedly to generate some earnings. Clix4pay will monitor the growth or non-growth of the earnings from those clicking sites. So far, not so good because I do am not a resident of the US and other preferred countries, so sites to be browsed are either zero or one or two in a stretch of a few days. But if you upgrade your account you will have more. I am thinking of upgrading my account at Clix4pay if I can figure out a way of using my e-gold money for this purpose.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

e-bay woes

This time, it's e-bay. A fellow Mylotter bemoaned the fact that she had lost so much money paying auction fees slapped by e-bay against her as store manager blah-blah. I know that e-bay has revolutionized the world of shopping and has tremendously changed the way people market their products but in this part of the world I' m in I know that profiting from it is like a dream. The cost of transporting goods from here to this part of the planet and vice versa will make the whole transaction not feasible. And after hearing this complaint from a Mylot member, I am the more convinced that shopping anywhere near you is still the way to go.

are they kidding?

A Mylot member who was recently banned by Moneybookers and whose account was closed with close to $200 of money in there tried to request Moneybookers if he could at least withdraw his money. An answer came to the effect that yes, he may get back his money after paying 50 euros. 50 euros? Hello? Are we hearing right? This guy only tried to help those having problems with their service and he's being punished twice for this---being banned and holding his money. Where is justice here?

We who were forced to open an account with Moneybookers in place of e-gold did not know a thing about Moneybookers had Mylot not required us users with no Paypal service in our country to open an account there where Mylot is supposed to send our earnings. We never imagined it to be as vague and inconvenient as this.

Another Mylot user was supposed to receive her June 15 payout but until now Moneybookers was not able to make this happen even after following all the steps and countless of e-mails sent. Someone's gotta be kidding here.

call center academy: is this feasible?

Recently I came across an ad on this kind of business which is slowly gaining ground in the country as more and more outsourcing companies are sprouting in every nook of the archipelago. Naturally, as I am considering a career shift, this peaked my interest as it is very much compatible with the experience I've gained over the years as a language teacher for 26 years.
A quick look at the plight of the call center industry in our small city should give me the clue as to the feasibility of putting up a call center academy in our locality. Currently we only have one call center in this city and no other call centers are expected to operate here for as long as the contract between the government and the call center is still applicable, and that is for a term of four years in which no other call centers will be permitted to open.
If passion or interest is to be considered in choosing one's career, then I guess the concept of having this kind of business in our city is attuned to the thing I love to do.
In the meantime I am waiting for that e-mail from the person in-charge of the business to show me if I've got what it takes to open one.

bad, very bad

An active Mylot user who tried to help those having problems with Moneybookers by helping them encash the money they have difficulty withdrawing was banned by Moneybookers. The bad thing is he has around $190 in his Moneybookers account and it seems like he might not be able to get it back.

It is bad that he got banned by Moneybookers but losing his money as well is very, very bad. I just hope he recovers his hard-earned money very soon.

Until now, some users could not understand why they have not received their payout for June 15 which was already paid or deposited by Mylot via Moneybookers. This is again very bad because people do need cash and this dilly-dallying makes people lose their trust in the site.

Obviously this calls for some immediate solution. Your helpful suggestions are most welcome.

on impulse buying

Women are particularly guilty of this---buying stuff they never planned of buying because of its monstrous price tag. But one day at a discreet surplus store you find that thing displayed at 1/4 of its original price and you impulsively buy three of those with much regret later.

Impulse- buying can truly hurt the budget and it takes tons of self-discipline to avoid the pitfalls each time you come across goods that look so irresistible. This happens most especially when you have the money to splurge. You just buy, buy, buy like there was no tomorrow. At the end of the day you take a quick count of the cash left and you're almost down to nothing. It can really be a bad day for you to be going around without even a penny in your pocket as a result of that splurging which will leave you penniless within the next few days.

So, whenever the impulse to buy comes, check yourself and think of the rain. It is better to stay home when it rains.

money by clicking

My attention got redirected to another site as I was Mylotting this morning and I got myself, for the first time, into a clicking site that pays. Actually I've heard a lot about this program before and after reading that it does not only cater to Paypal holders, I signed up. After clicking and viewing 9 sites, I got credited with $0.09. The rate is almost similar to what members get at Mylot per post but this could serve as an intermission when boredom starts to set in. You can click to this for details and if you want to sign up. You don't lose anything if you do. You can join here.

back to e-gold

Because of the difficulties encountered in transferring funds from Moneybookers to our bank account, I have decided to have it transferred to my e-gold account with the help one Mylot member (Rickytan) who made everything possible. Now the amount sits in my e-gold account waiting to be sold.

Moneybookers charges $2.48 per transaction and by the way, it does not allow withdrawals below $13 +. I do not know how others feel about this but I think this is so not user-friendly.

Those of us who are forced to use Moneybookers because of e-gold's problem wish that we have more options in terms of fund transfer. As it is, Moneybookers, with its exorbitant charges and withdrawal ceiling , just seems to be making everything harder for us.

This is the reason why, in spite of the risks, I have moved back to e-gold. Any reactions and comments to this are most welcome.

moneymaking opportunities limited

The internet has revolutionized the way people live. It has brought about wonders and has opened immeasurable opportunities to make money online provided you are residing in the US, Canada, Uk, Australia.

How about the other countries? According to the requirements of these many money-generating online ventures, they only pay through Paypal and goes ahead to name the countries of preference.

Why? Why are some countries excluded? The internet is everywhere. People live and they consume or use products like everybody else, whether he is in the US or Timbukto. I thought racial discrimination is dead but isn't this a form of racial discrimination?

The sites that had blocked users from certain countries from joining their programs need to answer human rights proponents on the issue of discrimination.

We understand that even people in rich countries are in need of money, but aren't the people of 3rd world countries also needing the same?

beware of what you purchase on e-bay

Someone I know got scammed of a product she had ordered by being sent a fake. The victim did some research online about the characteristics of the genuine product but alas, the product she received failed to meet the requirements of the true product.

Of course she had sent the money through bank transfer and after receiving the fake product, she immediately placed a complaint in which the scammer promised to return the money. Oh?
Isn't their business that? To scam people? I will have to wait and see if he will actually return the money.

In the meantime, what does one do when one becomes the victim of online scamming? We make a report to the right authorithy---this guy could be banned from further pushing his fake products via e-bay. He better straighten up his act fast.

high service charge

When members learned that Moneybookers charges more than $2 for the transfer of funds, they were like, "Whaaat? Out of our $10 payout which we had worked so hard to get, Moneybookers takes off $2? That's too much!"

Mylot's minimum payout of $10 per month is not that easy to achieve. It would take hundreds upon hundreds of discussions, many sleepless nights, backaches and headaches. This is not funny. I also hope I got the wrong information; otherwise, I'd rather go back to e-gold no matter what the risks are. If Mylot will only improve members' earnings then maybe it wouldn't hurt that much to be shelving that amount for a mere transfer of funds. Don't they have brackets or levels wherein those receiving more should be paying a bit more and those receiving little, say $10, will only be paying less than a dollar or something? This is just pathetic.

scam, scam, scam

Recently the biggest online fraud was cracked down by authorities in the Philippines for existing without any permit from the SEC and for scamming its members with thousands of dollars. I do not know if you have heard about Francswiss but this has caught the attention of authorities who are hot on the trail of the owners of the said scam site. Although no longer available online, clues can be taken from the ip address that has left the mark that could nail the scammers.

Francswiss had been inviting its members to invest between $1,000 to $10,000 which, according to the scheme, will double in 21 days. How they will be able to do this is beyond calculation since the site has no real business to make the investments grow. The said entity has all the signs of being another illegal pyramiding schemes.

moneymakers, here

Everything is here about online moneymaking. This blog guides newbies on how money can be earned from the various programs online.

Graphics/layout: In black background, the blog openly displays the different moneymaking programs that newbies can easily click. It's all there, the tricks and the proofs of money received by the blogger.

Content: Like most moneymaking sites or blogs, the blogger does not waste his time but goes straight ahead to the point of presenting the moneymakers. It's all about making money, money, and more money. Other than this, there is nothing more that visitors can see.

Style: Simple and straightforward.

Recommendation: The site badly needs an update. I wonder when was the last time the owner made her update.

Moneybookers dilemma

In a few days Mylot will be sending payouts to those who do not have Paypal service in their country through Moneybookers. Yet, as of this moment one could hear and read complaints from those who have tried transacting with Moneybookers.

Straight from the horse's mouth, one user had already received confirmation from Moneybookers that the transfer of funds from Mylot had been successful. She had been checking and checking with her bank but until now, July 10 in our country, no cash has come in. This payout was for June 15 and this was sent out long before the 15th. It is almost a month now but still no fund transfer has been reflected in her ATM.

Hearing this, I feel like using the old method which was through e-gold because at least e-gold has a representative who answers our queries. Right now I feel like I am faced with a big problem because if this is how Moneybookers works, then we don't want any of it.

Why should it take long for them to transfer the funds when this is supposed to be an online thing? So far, not so good.

Only $0.34 to make it monthly at Mylot

Mylot, a community of close to a hundred thousand members, is one great site to make a monthly income. I have been four times in four consecutive months. Earning here is so easy you only need to use your head in participating in discussions by starting, responding, commenting and other tasks which can easily be done in a flash.

It pays through Paypal or Moneybookers depending on where you are and the minimum payout is $10 which is quite easy to achieve. To reach the monthly payout, with a mini of $10, one only has to earn $0.34 a day. That's right---$0.34 a day to reach the monthly payout. Some members do a lot more each month reaching $50 to $70 per. It all depends on the amount of participation you make here.

With Mylot, money is at the tip of your fingers.

KEEP TRACK OF YOUR MONEY

These days we usually just spend, spend, spend without keeping a record of our daily cash-outs and cash-ins. Are we spending more than what we earn? We will only know this if we keep track of every single expenditure that we do everyday. I am not an accountant and neither do I follow this that is why like many, I am always cash-strapped. But we do not have to be always trapped in this situation. We need to be vigilant with the money we make. Money is hard to find but so easy to spend. If we keep all our earnings or money in one place and do not have separate banks for our individual needs, then we will forever find ourselves losing money fast.

I got this practical suggestion from a friend who guards his money like trained dog. He said he has a separate bank account for his business and other bill payments, another one for savings, and another account for his petty cash.

For his business, he had opened a checking account where all his payments and purchases are taken. This is where 60% of his money goes. He keeps 10% for savings in another account with

a passbook which is purely meant for his savings. Then he deposits 30% to his ATM for his daily cash needs. When he runs short of cash, then he withdraws here.

I thought about this and I think it's doable. What dya think? Any other brilliant tips?

huh? I did not apply for a credit card!

That was the initial reaction of a friend of mine who received a credit card with a credit limit of Php 60,000 from her bank. She did not apply for such a card because in her own words she said that these credit card companies will most likely make you liable for a certain crime later on. She was sure that she will be collected a year's membership fee even if she did not use it.

Her solution: mail it back to the bank via registered mail so you will have proof that the plastic card has been returned and you will not be collected with any membership fee.

This development makes me think that maybe people have learned their lesson the hard way. People no longer see the benefit of being a card holder because of their bad experiences. That is why credit card companies are giving people that extra push or tug to gain membership. That is why credit card agents are everywhere knocking on everybody's closed doors.

During one of Oprah's episodes it was discussed that the first step towards becoming rich is getting rid of all your credit cards. That's right, cut them, scissor them and throw them away. We've been working so hard and it seems like all our efforts are not paying off because our incomes are not enough to pay the bills we have incurred using our credit cards. It's probably time we change all these.

wanna know more about credit cards?

Here's one site which will give you more useful information about credit cards. I notice that credit card companies are getting more and more aggressive in making people acquire cards the easiest and fastest way.

I know of someone who was convinced to get one (she never had one before) and when the card arrived she was surprised to receive two cards. The other one, the company said, was for her husband. She was shocked because she did not apply for her husband.

Credit card agents have invaded schools and even small offices, enticing even the smallest paid employees to have a credit card.

What's wrong with this? Read more about credit cards here.

credit card woes

Credit cards. Are they here to help or push you deeper into financial rut?

A friend of mine recently expressed how the snail-paced delivery of the statement of account had cost her unwanted interest fees for delay in payment.

Whose fault is it? The bank sent the statement through snail mail which reached the credit card holder days after due date; thus making her pay additional fees for interest.

This is not at all fair. She would like to pay on time so she won't have to pay double interest but it seems like the bank in charge is making this impossible.

There is a local branch in the city so why can't they do something to help their customers maintain good credit standing?

Are they really here to help?

I won first prize

Yeheeey! In this blog I got this info that I won first prize in a promo or review contest sponsored by beasavvywriter. This contest was on for over a month and Ashley, its owner, came back to this blog to drop this good news. I will be keeping in touch with you guys for more details about the prizes that the site had concocted for the winners of the contest.

And take note, I am very proud to say that I got the FIRST prize, not second, not third.

It really pays to visit other blogs, give comments and get some juicy bits of info regarding promos and contests. This site has contests of all sorts so I check it out for more of these. In the meantime, I will be e-mailing Ashley for the details of the prizes and I'll keep you guys informed.

I got hit by Hits4pay

I have recently signed up with Hits4pay as referral to one of my online acquaintances at Mylot although I wasn't quite sure what I am supposed to do here. My vague understanding included my having to wait for e-mails from the site for e-mails to read. I did that, waiting for days until this morning, I finally got one e-mail from the site.

I logged in and found one ad to be read, so it was like eating peanuts because the ad was also interesting so I did not find that part hard. After the reading, I checked my account and saw that apart from the $0.02 credit for that single activity, I also got a $10 sign-up bonus. It was there! I am sure I was not dreaming when I saw the $10 free money that the site had put in my account.

I made the announcement at Mylot announcing and at the same time inviting everyone to jump in and be a part of this cool site.

From excitement to complete discouragement--- some members who used to be members of the said site burst my bubble---it does not pay members who are not from the US, Canada, Uk, Australia. Huh?

They did try to sign up with the site but they said they did not receive any e-mails to be read, and if they did, they came only in trickles, further leading them to give it up.

So it is still Mylot because it does not choose any territory. I wonder about this. Of course we can understand their preference for people who can afford stuff to buy or their level of literacy but come to think of it, people anywhere in the world are also consumers of certain products and are literate enough to understand their business. to discriminate these people would be like discriminating a good number of prospective customers or product users.

I hope this thing is just temporary and sites that are discriminatory should learn from Mylot and Google which have global or universal grasps of their business.

Review: Moms-online

It looks simple. No attractive header, lay-out is provided by blogger, and graphics are nowhere in sight.

What ever happened to its owner? The last update was about a month ago. I wonder if the blog has been deserted by its owner or what.

Obviously, it is a money-generating blog and there are some helpful tips and guide to moneymaking sites the blogger has tried.

I would like to know if the owner is still in the house or is busy with other tasks offline.

Updates are important to the lifetime of the blog. Silence and nothingness for long periods could lead to its demise.

hosting/emceeing rates

If you have some talent in public speaking, you can generate some additional income from it by hosting or emceeing shows or weddings. Rates of course would vary according to the degree of preparation a person put in long before the show.

I know that professional speakers in the US could command very high fees but in 3rd world countries like the Philippines, rates are competitive.

I received a call just 30 minutes ago asking about the rate of hosting a wedding. I gave her the possible fees ranging from Php 5,000 up.

How does one justify the high rates? Well, this task is special. It requires the expertise or talent of the host who has to come in his best clothes. He prepares for this event long before and while not many people would relish to be the center of attention, the host/emcee goes up there in front of everybody and holds the key to the success or failure of the presentation. If something goes wrong and you have a professional host to save the moment, then it could be worth paying that much amount.

Google: the best place to work in the US

It was recently featured on Oprah naming Google as the best place to work in the US. "Everything is free", says one of the co-founders of Google who revealed that Google only started at a small garage four years ago. Now, it has more than 10,000 employees all over the world and those who work at Google can avail of spa, haircut, gym, laundry service, day care service for kids and pets, massage, gourmet food from 11 different cafeterias etc. all for FREE.

Oprah half-jokingly said that pretty soon all of us would be wanting to work with Google. When Google first advertised for workers, it emphasized its need for "Nerds". Yes, Google looks at records and grades and you better belong to the top bracket of your class to get hired.

Salaries at Google are competitive but again, talks circulate that there are a number of employees who are earning millions.

Online or offline, it's Google where people wanna go.

The site does not contain any graphic frills. It's a helpful site especially to those who would like to earn more online, this one gives you tips on how you can monetize your online activities.

Graphic/design: simple but it looks professionally done

Content: all about jobs and moneymaking online as the title says

Style: simple and direct, it goes with the content

All in all the site looks good, but it could use some graphics to make the site look more alive.

finding one's niche

Since blogging has become a popular tool in promoting products or services, presenting news, or narrating simple day-to-day events, writers of all types have taken in the trend and have now created a new breed of writing which has quick access to instant publication. However, one problem bloggers face today is gaining followers or an audience who will keep on coming back to their blogs for updates. Usually, visitors will only drop by once upon invitation and never come back.

The first thing to ask is finding people who will be interested in what you have to write. So you have a blog. Make sure that your blog is meant only for a specific audience. It is a fatal mistake for some bloggers to attempt to write about anything under the sun. That was how I started with my first blog. I wrote about anything and everything that sparked my interest. When I heard about the importance of nicheing, I stopped and changed direction. I am now trying to steer my first blog into a specific niche in order to get a more targeted audience.

Finding one's niche is easy. The only thing you need to do is to know your passion, what ignites you, what interests you then write about this or these. If you have 3 different interests like automotive, home designing, and physical fitness, then youhave 3 different niches there. Yes, you can have as many blogs as you want depending on your interests.

This is the reason why I have created 4 blogs. I know of someone who has a dozen blogs and I learned of someone who intends to open 50 blogs. My four blogs contain my varied interests and passions:

Of course, my first interest is my life so I have http://offbeatmom.blogspot.com/ which contains a woman's, mother's, grandmother's day-to-day struggles. http://everydaywear.blogspot.com/ is my first blog ever which became the catch-all of all my past musings and is now being groomed to contain topics on education, teaching, public speaking, speech, and English as subject. My http://coolkidsparty.blogspot.com/ is all about important events, special occasions, milestones to which I got usually invited as emcee and finall this blog which contains anything having to do with money, improving one's site or blog, traffic, exchange links.

Have I finally found my niche? I think so. So they steps in finding your niche are:

Passion. Find your passion.
Write or blog about this. Use www.blogger.com or www.wordpress.com

Let people know about your existence via forums.
Update regularly.
Exchange Links.
Submit your url to many search engines.
Make money by putting adsense on your blog.

the secret to getting rich

Somebody at a forum asked this most asked question:

How do I become rich?

If there is any single formula to getting rich, then we would have eradicated global poverty a long time ago. The fact that the world is still saddled by problems related to poverty only means that the answer to the question remains a puzzle. Those who have made it---Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Donald Trump seem to have one thing in common---PASSION which they had pursued and are still pursuing.

Many realize too late after doing their work for 25 years that their work is not really their passion thus they have remained stagnant.

Passion is what drives a person to do something in an extra special way. It is loving what one is doing and doing what one loves to do. One cannot but succeed if one pursues his or her passion. What is your passion? Is it cooking? teaching? writing? speaking? drawing? singing? Discover it and go after it. There is no way that you can go wrong with this. It could be the answer to this most asked question--how do I become rich?

wanna earn monthly from Google?

Websites or weblogs which display Google adsense need to work hard to increase traffic if they look forward to earning monthly from it.

Google only sends payout it your income for any month reaches $100 and this means a daily ad earnings of $3.50.

If your site or blog earns $3.50 per day from ads, then you get a little over a hundred dollars earnings per month. But why aim for only a hundred when other people have proven that it is possible to earn a lot, lot more! How? Again, I give the same answer: more and more traffic.

hypnosis as the answer to problems (a review)

I was hypnotized when I got into this site because there is just a lot in it. After clicking on one of the articles I was redirected to a page with several topics on hypnosis---hypnosis for stage fright, hypnosis for health problems as well as marital issues. It sounds incredible but I was there and I saw everything with my own two eyes. I was so convinced that I immediately signed up as an affiliate for the program. If you are interested to also earn by being an affiliate to this program, just give this a click.

Surfing the site is easy but you just need to have plenty of time in your hands to be able to see everything, for it has loads of helpful information that are beneficial to everyone.

Design/layout: Very good. It looks businesslike and professional. The header is especially welcoming and upbeat.

Content: Excellent, well-written articles. You'd love going back to the site for them. Those seeking to earn from their blogs or sites should consider this site. I only have two thumbs so I can only say, two thumbs up for Wendy and her team!

Rating: 9.5 I don't believe in perfection. Only God, they say, is perfect and I likewise think that there should always be room and space for growth.
